Travel is amazing at the time but I can’t help but think the come down of it is disproportionately difficult, but maybe that is only so in the case of being confused about your future and having very little monies to your name. Basically when your only option is to knuckle right down and forego any luxury.
I’m working back in my previous customer service job. It’s not bad, the staff are the best part, the lack of ability to use your mind is the worst. I’ve realised recently that a lot of people don’t seem to have goals of any sort, no ambition and no aims. If you consider what their life will be in five years time quite a few people would be content to be doing the exact same thing but with a few more wrinkles. But these same people are the ones who get frustrated at the job, at the management and at the customers but make no effort to change.
I’m only going to be working full time for five months as I have a place in an MA for September. This knowledge of an end point is essential, petty things don’t bother me and irritations are easy to dismiss. Customers can be awful, really awful, especially as we mainly cater to the middle class and most of them are obviously not well read enough to understand the job situation and talk to us all like we are lower life forms. If you let these things get to you you lose all your self worth. It is hard to take the daily comments and tuts but it is just as easy to prove yourself by having excellent knowledge and ability. By being able to walk back into a job I have realised the importance of always working hard and trying your best; because if you can’t do that your future will not look positive. If I hadn’t always worked hard I could still be job hunting now and then maybe I wouldn’t be able to afford an MA. People take situations to heart too much and reside themselves to not improving or furthering, to believing the world has a vendetta against them. And so in these past few months the three important things that have come to me are.
Always try your best
Make the most of even a bad situation
Be positive.
Dwelling over things and being angry and resentful is so unproductive. All of these three goals are much easier to achieve if you have an idea of where and what you want to do and time goes so quick that decisions need to be made. And a lot of the time the worst possible outcome will be being back in that job if all fails, which isn’t really a loss anyway.

Great post, I believe that being goal oriented is important, as is being values oriented, if that makes sense. And thanks for following my blog! Hope you enjoy it. Candice
